Watch Spray is a product that safely and gently cleans dirt, body oils/salts and environmental impurities from the exterior of wristwatches.  To be used on a routine basis, Watch Spray aids in keeping wristwatches clean and beautiful and preserves their condition.  Unlike soap, Watch Spray does not cause film buildup from lye/oils.  Watch Spray is safe for all metals and crystals, including stainless steel, titanium, gold, platinum, rhodium, as well as sapphire, acrylic, mineral, and lens with anti-reflective coatings.  Easy to use and earth-friendly.

WristClean’s Watch Spray is easy and safe to use on wristwatches.  You can follow these simple instructions:

Before using Watch Spray:  First ensure that your watch is water-resistant and your crown is tightened/or pressed in to the watch case.  Like any liquid, you want to ensure that your watch is routinely serviced to verify that its waterproof gaskets are effective and in good condition.  This is important to ensure that your watch keeps out water while showering, swimming in the ocean, or using Watch Spray to clean it.  For further instruction, please follow your manufacturer’s advice on suggested service schedules.

Follow this procedure often to maintain your watch’s appearance.  Your watch will stay clean and beautiful.

  • STEP 1:  Spray your watch with Watch Spray.
  • STEP 2: Use your fingers and/or WristClean’s Watch Brush to gently brush away dirt, oils, salts, and impurities from your watch’s surfaces and crevices in the watch case and/or bracelet.
  • STEP 3:  Rinse your watch with water.  This step is not necessary, but produces a cleaner watch.  After Watch Spray gently lifts impurities from your watch, water rinses away the impurities revealing a sparkling, clean factory finish.
  • STEP 4:  Dry with a WristClean Drying Cloth or HD5 Daily watch cloth to reveal a clean, film-free finish.

Until 2009, watch dealers and watch enthusiasts relied on harsh jewelry cleaners and household products, including soap and ammonia to clean their wristwatches.  When WristClean introduced Watch Spray, it was a first for the watch community.  It was hard to believe that a dedicated luxury watch cleaner had not been introduced prior, given the Rolex Submariner was introduced in 1953.  The watch world had experienced such achievements in time-keeping abilities, waterproofness, and manufacturing.  It is almost if the finest of watch manufacturers made their works of art to only stop short of preserving their natural beauty.  When asked often by purchasers how to clean their watches, manufacturers responded with “soap,” not knowing any better.

Soap was introduced in 2800 B.C. in ancient Babylon. While formulas have changed mostly over time from animal fat to vegetable oils and lyes, the ingredients are still better suited to clean kitchen pans and the human body/hands.  At one point, automotive manufacturers advocated the use of dish-washing detergent for cleaning cars.  It did not take long for owners to realize the negative effects of dish-washing detergent on the exterior of their cars.  Soap was essentially stripping wax off the paint of their vehicles.  Today, there are a broad range of choices in car wash, where most are pH balanced and are specifically formulated for cleaning dirt, contaminates, and environmental fallout off paint without stripping wax or harming the finish.  The same discovery has been growing in the watch world since 2009, as thousands of watch owners experience themselves the vast difference in using Watch Spray vs. soap on their luxury wristwatch.

WristClean’s Watch Spray is formulated to gently and safely clean the exterior of watches.  The formula is water-based and contains no oils, lyes, perfumes, dyes, or harmful solvents.  Unlike soap, Watch Spray does not build up scum or film over time between bracelet links and crevices in the watch case.  In fact, the cleaner reveals the natural beauty of the factory finish.  The product was designed to work with all metals, such as stainless steel, platinum, rhodium, gold (yellow/white/rose, etc.), as well as all crystals (mineral, acrylic, sapphire, as well as those with anti-reflective coatings).

“I have worn a number of Rolex watches and I cleaned each one of them with WristClean’s Watch Spray because it is the only safe cleaner that cleans stainless steel to the point where the watch looks practically new.  WristClean products are essential for any watch wearer.  My WristClean review page is one of the most visited pages at because everyone wants to know how to clean a watch and the answer is with Watch Spray.”

“I truly believe WristClean products are fantastic!  I still use them on my Rolex twice a month and now my wife and daughter also it on their jewelry and it works wonders.  One bottle lasts a very long time, which makes the product very cheap too!!”

“Great company.  Great product.  Great owner.  I learned about WristClean/VERAET many years ago via the Rolex Forums.  I have since come to love the company for their product, but they also have a great captain behind the helm.  If you have any sort of decent watch, try their cleaning products.  I have no idea how the stuff works so well.”

“A few years back, a friend suggested I take a look at a product called Veraet (WristClean) as he knew I was looking for a product other than soap and water, for my vintage collection of Seiko’s as well as my GMT II Rolex.  Am I glad I did.  The ease in which it cleans and the job it performs, in my opinion cannot be matches!  I also ordered some of the Veraet microfiber cloths, and again find them to be of the finest quality in the market today, and believe me I have looked at many.  Thanks Veraet for providing a first class and very reasonably priced product.”
